In September, I’ll be starting on the next issue of the late Selwyn Hughes’ Every Day with Jesus, on my main blog, www.tofollowjesus.org. In this issue, Selwyn writes about worship: ‘to worship’ is to ascribe ‘worth’ to what we value most.
Selwyn looks at ‘the stories of Job, Abraham and the disciples, which highlight for us some of the barriers to worship and what true worship looks like’.
I think this is a very timely study, because I feel, that many have lost sight of what true worship of God actually means. In essence, I don’t think that there is enough worship of Jesus, in today’s Church.
